web design Adelaide hillsI have focused on professional web design since 1995, when the internet was in its infancy.

I worked in a number of corporate industry roles before starting my own web design business.

In 2001, I started my own online marketing and website development business called Oak Web Design Adelaide Hills.

Oak Web Design Adelaide Hills can handle all aspects of your website including:

  • the graphic design, including logos if necessary
  • photography for your website and photo editing
  • coding the pages
  • writing text
  • ensuring your Google ranking
  • registering your domain name, and
  • hosting your site for you on my high-speed server.

web design Adelaide hillsMy passion is creating clear, clean, easy to use sites that represent the true identity of your business.

Every design I create is unique.
My aim is to give you the site YOU want, not tie you in to a style template or insist on my own design ideas.

I design websites that you can edit yourself via a browser link. You will be able to easily update text and images.

I provide a tailored training manual for this purpose and ongoing FREE telephone support. But if you don’t wish to edit your own website, I can manage any updates for you.

I understand that your web site is an important investment and vital business asset. I will continue to help you to use your web site to make your business grow.

While a great web site is very valuable,
it doesn’t have to be expensive.

My current costs are detailed here.  It’s much cheaper than you think 🙂

Oak Web Design Adelaide Hills always include search engine optimisation as part of the initial set up. You should never pay extra for this service!
I believe that search engine optimisation (SEO) should always be part of the initial design process for any professionally built website.

Whether you are just starting out and would like a small foothold on the Internet, or have an established website and are seeking a redesign or
some back-end development, I can help you.

My Experience

I have been designing websites for over 20 years, ever since I fell in love with the internet.

But before the internet came along, I had another life and career.

After completing a BA in Communication Studies, I joined National Mutual in the position of Public Relations Officer. I later moved to a similar role with Capita Financial Group.

I progressed to senior marketing management roles, spending 5.5 years as Marketing Manager for CPS Credit Union SA Ltd (now Beyond Bank), followed by 2.5 years as Group Marketing Manager for Lifeplan Financial Group SA Ltd (now part of Australian Unity).

In those positions, I was always very “hands on” and realised that I preferred the writing, design and production aspects to the more general management aspect of these marketing and advertising roles.

As the internet evolved into a business tool, I developed a strong background in strategic internet marketing and website development, and this focus lead me to the role of manager for a small South Australian internet company, where I remained for 3.5 years.

From there, I moved to Adam Internet in the role of Web Development Manager until July 2003 when Adam closed their web development department and outsourced this work to my own fledgling business, Oak Web Design Adelaide Hills.

Since July 2003, I have been self-employed, working from my home, developing websites and other marketing materials for a variety of clients.

Web Site Costs

Web site costs vary greatly.  I aim to make my costs very clear.

A great website does not need to be expensive.

I believe in being completely honest with the costs and will never exceed the quote I give you or try to sell you expensive add-ons!

All website work includes search engine optimisation (SEO) as I consider that an essential part of the job.

All websites are responsive so that they display equally beautifully on any size screen – desktops, tablets and phones.

I believe in being completely up-front about costs, so here is a guide to website costs and my fees as at 1 January 2017:

Standard Web Site Costs – $590

Includes:

  • “Home” page
  • “Product Information” page
  • Up to 5 other pages of your choice
  • “Gallery” page to showcase your venue, products or work

  • Social media links
  • Ability to edit and manage the site yourself, if you wish
  • Training manual for updating yourself, if you wish
  • Add to Google Maps, if appropriate
  • Search engine optimisation (SEO)
Examples of sites can be seen here.

Online Shop Web Site Costs – $950

  • Up to 20 products will be added.
  • Additional products can be added at the cost of $5 per product.
